Raju (Sanjay Dutt) has been brought up in an orphanage along with Vijay. Vijay wants to fulfill his father dream of becoming a chemical engineer, but lacks the necessary funds. Raju decides to fulfil his dream. A certain Millionnaire Rai Sahib (Pran) does not want his daughter Renu (Farha) to marry Kailash (Sumeet Saigal). Rai Sahib then hires Raju to create differences between Renu and Kailash. Raju takes up the task in order to get the necessary funding for Vijay's education. But he falls in love with Renu.
